Bespoke Jewellery

Your story, forged in fire and flame…

We love creating jewellery for people who share our values.

We believe that your jewellery should bring you joy, and reflect your style.

TIMESCALES

Making bespoke jewellery takes time. As a guide please allow around two weeks for us to work together on the design, and six to eight weeks for us to make your jewellery. If you commission more than one piece of jewellery the timescale will reflect that, to allow us to put in the time and care required for each piece.

The Commission process

- Talk to us

If you would like to commission a bespoke piece of jewellery, the first thing to do is to get in touch. Don't feel like you need to know exactly what you want, we are here to guide you through the process, without any pressure. You can contact us by email, phone, or on Facebook or Instagram. You can also arrange an appointment using the form below.

Alternatively, just pop in to the shop at any time and we will be happy to help.

- Our Initial Discussion

We will talk through your ideas, and show you different pieces of jewellery or loose gemstones from our stock. This helps us to make sure we understand what you are looking for, and maybe give you some inspiration too. We will also discuss how your ideas work with your budget, please let us know if you would prefer to do this separately by email or phone.

If we need to order in any loose stones on approval for you, we can arrange a second appointment so that you can view and choose your gemstones.

- The Design Process

When you are happy that we have a good idea of the gemstones, metals, and design you would like, we can proceed to the design stage. At this point we ask for a deposit of £150, which will be refunded against the cost of your commission. The reason we take a deposit is to allow us to put the necessary time into designing your piece of jewellery.

About 10 working days after we talk, we will send you our designs and quotes by email. Every commission is different, but we usually send up to three designs. We can also make wax or resin models for you to try on to make sure you're happy before we start working in metal.

Making your Jewellery

When you are completely happy with your design and quote, we can start the process of making your jewellery. At this point we require a deposit of 50% of the total amount. The balance will be payable on completion, less the £150 deposit.

Making a piece of jewellery usually takes 6 to 8 weeks from this point, depending on how many processes are involved. Our highly skilled jewellers will work in the most appropriate was for your design, from hand fabricating to casting, and our team collaborate on every commission to make sure we reach the highest standards of design and quality.

We are happy to use your own sentimental gemstones and precious metals if they are suitable for the project.

collecting your commission

When your jewellery is ready we will invite you to collect it at the shop, or we can arrange delivery. It will be presented beautifully in one of our handmade walnut boxes, ready to be worn and loved.
